Materials for Facilitators
Preserving Paradise Facilitator Guide – Learn how to lead the Wasted Paradise Action Simulation by using this instruction manual. It will walk you through the whole process of running the WPAS. It includes everything, from preparation and room setup, to sample scripts and debrief techniques.
Presentation Slides – Present these slides to your participants, introducing the topic, the role-play guidelines and background details related to the topic.
Supplemental Slides – A selection of additional slides. Choose to include them in your presentation or not, depending on your preference.
PPS Simulator – Access the PPS Simulator online. It is a essential part of the experience and will will help you to test your participants proposed strategies in real time. Caution! You need an online connection to use the Simulator.

Tips for Facilitating an Online Event – Explore our tips on leading a virtual version of the Preserving Paradise Simulation game using an online platform.
Use this Online Worksheet to assign your participants interest groups ahead of time. Provide them with their briefing sheets, and virtual backgrounds. We recommend “copy and pasting” the contents of this sheet to your own version so that you can edit and share with your participants. Delete excess interest groups.

Briefing Statements –To provide background information used to orient participants in a Wasted Paradise Action Simulation to their assigned roles. You can choose to use the 3 interest groups or the 6 interest groups briefings based on the size of your group and the time allotted. The 3 interest groups version is good for small groups (6-18 people) or for large events with less time, whereas the 6 interest groups version enables greater engagement by all participants.
